The Chinese smartphone maker Oppo on Monday shared the first official images of its upcoming flagship smartphone, which will be part of the Find X5 series. The company posted pictures of black and white versions of the device along with details on its launch event, which will take place in Barcelona on February 24th ahead of Mobile World Congress 2022.
The leaked photos of the Oppo Find X5 Pro revealed a Hasselblad partnership earlier this year. Earlier this week, Oppo made the partnership official, confirming the collaboration between the smartphone maker and the camera company, following last year’s partnership between the two brands with OnePlus.
Oppo says the Find X5 Pro has a cutting-edge camera with a unique design. It’s made from a beautifully unique ceramic material. The unusually shaped camera bump says “Powered by MariSilicon.” This is reference to Oppo’s new in-house neural processing unit that claims to “overcome smartphone video capture’s greatest challenge—nighttime recording.”
Oppo has released a PDF press release confirming that the Find X5 Pro will use Qualcomm’s latest flagship-grade processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Full specs and features haven’t yet been announced for the phone, though; we’ll have to wait until the launch event on February 24th.
